Every morning and evening I have to feed my fluffy bunnies... at the end of the day it is therapeutic to just touch their warm furry body...
Pets can be a person's best friend at times... they accept you just as you are (unless you did not feed them or give them water to drink)... they can listen to all your problems and you will have no worries that they will gossip about it to other people... they are contented just sitting in your lap while you contemplate how messed up the world is occasionally....
However, for those who need more response rather than an outlet to release frustrations (not by mistreating them please! Just talking and gentle stroking), pets may not be the complete solution... and some pets are better listeners than others... cats usually don't care less about you unless it's meal time... some dogs may be a tad bit too active to sit down and listen.... and allergies might put a damper on pet therapy too.... unless you find a naked mole rat or sphinx cat (hairless breed) your cup of tea..... =D

yeah dogs tend to be more attentive... my bunnies are too... cats usually are more stuck-up... stick up its tail and sashay away lol...
