Today's Star paper reported that the Education director-general said that warning letters would be given to teachers that change the teaching of Mathematics and Science back to Bahasa Malaysia before the specified time...
I am wondering how he would be able to enforced that... sad to say that even before the announcement of change back to BM, there have been teachers teaching in rojak language, some in English some in BM.... people complain about destroying both languages by mixing them up. I can't help but think that our teachers have a huge influence of this. Since the teachers are not able to express themselves completely in a single language, why should the students be any better?

Even if the teachings is in BM, many of the words are just English words with 'y' turned into 'i' and 'c' turned into 'k' such as chlorophyll is klorofil. When the students head on to college and university where science should be in English, their spellings are pretty messed up... or perhaps they are not expected to further their studies... best leaders are those that look long-term...
Worse is that it is not only in primary and secondary schools but at university levels also. I had a class where the only time the lecturer spoke English was when she was reading directly from the power point slides. I pitied the foreign student in that class. He did not understand a word of BM and the course was supposed to be in English. Needless to say he did not do well for that course....

ahahaha then police will be arresting all teachers in the country for using BM in the mean time. if i was determined to become a teacher after stpm, i would have a great headache. luckily i dropped that ambition haha
